I did not receive invitation due to tired

Today a friend invited me to sing in the KTV in the Hsing-Chu City. But I did not go due to tired.

In fact, I like singing because it can make me happy and excited. I often sing with my friends in the KTV. After singing, we always chat together. We can share each other’s pain and happiness and give each other advice.

I believe most girls like singing, and I am no exception.

About this semester

I join many school activities in this semester.

For me, joining various school activities is a useful form of education itself. I think that the activities can enrich a student’s knowledge and skill, as well as help shape his character.

Hence, I join clubs and activities that interest me in order to make the best of the resources provided by school. With careful planning, I think I can wisely divide my time between studies and other activities.

ISSUE:About a report that reminds us to save water

Today I read a report that reminds us to save water.

According to this report, the water supply of Taiwan is endangered by the drought in much of the island, the deterioration of the old dams, and the scarcity of funds with which to complete new dams.

In fact, that the supply of water being finite has become an economic and political consideration for most industrial nations. Stronger measures are needed to protect water from being wasted.
As the world’s economic development accelerates, the threat from water shortages increases. It is a matter of life and death to conserve clean and enough water. And we must do it now.

My favorite place

One of my favorite places is a café named “ Rome”.

The café is close to my house in Taoyuan. I love being surrounded by smell of coffee, especially when that café offers more kinds of books and magazines than the general bookstores do. Every time I visit there, I have a quick browse through the shelves in the middle of the path first. More than often, I have surprise among the displays. In fact, this cafe offers me more choices than a library does—a cup of good coffee in their menu and more comfortable space to read and think.
Furthermore, I will pay attention to the other consumers. Some of them talk about things that are beyond my imagination. It's very interesting and exciting to know there are people talking certain subjects in another way or seeing things from a point of view which is totally different from mine.

Sometimes I spent hours sitting on the seat with a book on my knee, being lost in my own reverie, or watching people in the same room. From their appearance and their interaction, I usually guess what kind of person they are. These bring me pleasure as much as in enjoying my coffee. To me, the cafe means not only a space without interruption but also a window to the world. What the cafe impresses me more is its clean and comfortable washroom. The long mirror there is always spotless and no uncomfortable smell worms into your nose while you walk into the room. What's more surprising, the cafe washroom provides a special toilet caps with beautiful picture. That means the bookstore respects its customers' need. The cafe really makes you feel like coming home.

I only go to that cafe on weekends. The most enjoyable time is in the morning. All you have there are beautiful music and books waiting quietly for you. It is my secret garden.

I love my family

I didn't go back home to see my family for two weeks. I am very busy during several weeks, because I had a lot of homework that I should do. Also, I had to join the activity.
That is why I am so sad,I want to go back home to see my family. My family is so warm that inspire me to study hard. I will do my best.

ISSUE: About a report that some girls bitterly point out the discrimination based on looks

Today I read a report that some girls bitterly point out the discrimination based on looks. It is not a fresh issue in our society.

According to this report, some companies prefer hiring good-looking women because it boosts their corporate image. But the face is innate. So, a few people seek help from plastic surgeons to improve their appearance. But I think that many of the cosmetic surgeries are too risky, even may pose serious threat to one's health.

I hope I don't face this discrimination about looks when I look for jobs. I guess we should never judge people by their appearance.

ISSUE:About a policy --consume coupon

Today I talk with my boyfriend about the issue of “consume coupon”.

This policy has been controversial since its inception; its proponents argue that the people whoever are benefited, whereas other critics argues that it leads to fiscal disaster and economic stagnation.

I think that the policy is welcome by everyone, but the budget of government is limited, so the welfare needs to focus on the people who are the most economically vulnerable. Only 3,600 dollars is too little to the real poor people. And the cost of printing and distribution are high. The cash is a better option, I think.

The Differences in Attitudes about Technology between Men and Women

Today I read a report about the differences in attitudes about technology between men and women.

According to author, the differences in attitudes about technology between men and women just depend on the personality of a particular person. Both men and women can be very keen on trying new technological items if they are open-minded. Or they can be very reserved and always wait and see until their friends or neighbors use it and prove that is really food and helpful. In fact, almost all the people can demonstrate their curiosity about new technology.
I agree with him.
