Today I saw the New York is interrupted by snow on TV news.
I wonder what snow is like. I wish we could have a snow in Hsing-Chu this winter. I want to go out and have snow-ball fights and build snowmen. But it will never snow in Hsing-Chu, it only rains.
Maybe I can travel to the New York to watch snow in the future.

Today my computer has some problem. It cannot access the internet.
Computer is one of the most important thing in my life. I have one and use it every day. It is a multi-purpose machine. I use my computer to look for information on internet, use E-mail, and type my homework. As a recreational device, it allows me to watch film, talk with my friends on MSN.
I think I cannot live well without my computer and internet.

Today I saw the sky was grey with light fog.
I guess the air pollution is a possible reason for such strange color of the sky. In fact, the air pollution remains a big problem in most large cities in Taiwan. Although the government and people have made efforts to control the situation, the result is not quite satisfactory. The increasing number of private cars has added much to the problem, I think.

The Road Not Taken

And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

- I choose “the Road Not Taken”. It is a very famous English poem. I redeem that it has two significant implies; the uncertainty and lonely of life.Firstly, in this poem, the “different path” represents the different way of our life. We usually need to face different ways or objects to choose in our life. Who is the best partner for me? Which school or major is better for me? The different alternatives are similar to “two roads diverged in a yellow wood”. According to the experience in my life, I think the courage, perseverance and luck are the most important means to takes a certain road that is no turning back, such as the “the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear”, Frost said.
- The poem's last lines, where the narrator declares that taking the road "less traveled by" has "made all the difference," can be seen as a declaration of the importance of independence and personal freedom. However, I can smell the lonely from this line. Sometimes, I am lonely when I made unique choice; it is likely to “walk on less traveled road”. But I think the freedom of choice is the most valuable thing for human life even the choice is strange or unusual.

Today my club has a special dinner.
We had a fire pot with pork, shrimp, fish dumplings and a variety of vegetables. A friend added the chicken soup ponder in the hot water, and it absorbed the taste of our food, therefore, the soup was tasted very good.
Someone purchased beers, but I didn’t drink. We ate all foods prepared in advanced. The fire pot is more delicious than self-help meal.

ISSUE: a news in Taipei Times about that the independence supporters surrounded the Legislative Yuan
Today I read a news in Taipei Times about that the independence supporters surrounded the Legislative Yuan yesterday, protesting what they called the body’s inaction against former Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) legislator Diane Lee over her alleged dual nationality. The protesters insisted that the legislature formally remove Lee from her post, in addition to her resignation a day earlier.
According to media report, Lee is suspected of holding US citizenship in violation of the Nationality Act (國籍法), but has said that she automatically lost her US citizenship when she was sworn in as a Taipei City councilor 14 years ago.
I redeem Lee betrays her voters. The Nationality Act asks all legislators to give up their foreign citizenship identity formally. She didn’t do it. Moreover, she lies to the society again and again. Such politician is the shame of my country.

Today a professor talked about the creativity in class.
He argued that parents need to encourage children’s creativity at home. They can involve children in family decision-making. Secondly, parents can help children to understand the consequences of various decisions.Thirdly, parents can encourage them to talk out loud about things they are doing and the reason for doing so. The children can see creativity in its purest form.
Fourthly, parents can give children choices from an early age. When they are very young, let them choose between two food items for breakfast. When they grow older, parents should let them decide how to use their time or spend their money.

Friends and Foods in Travel
I want to travel in the winter vacation.
When I travel on holidays, I go not only to see new sights but also to perhaps meet new people. Of course, I don’t really expect a vacation trip to produce a close friend. But surely the beginning of a friendship is possible.
Meanwhile, almost all the tourist places have their special local food. Whenever I visit a new place I have a good appetite for all kinds of special local snacks. And actually I enjoyed the atmosphere and the good feeling about tasting local food during my stay.

I consider whether I will choose a part-time job next semester
Today I consider whether I will choose a part-time job next semester.
The distinct benefit of working my way through college is that it provides an opportunity to be a fully independent adult with real records; it also teaches perseverance. Most importantly, I will become richer to buy more my favorite things. However, there is a drawback to this way of finishing college; I will get little time and energy left for study after a long day’s work.
It is very hard for me to choose!

I think when the N.T. dollar devalues relative to other currencies, the exports of the other countries become more expensive to buy in Taiwan and Taiwan exports become cheaper in other countries. But the devaluation of N.T. Dollar will impact foreign investors’ intention to hold Taiwanese companies’ stocks. These stocks are valued as the N.T. Dollar. On the other hand, growing pressures from foreign countries force the government to bend the rules in favor of importers. Rapid devaluation policy may stir up foreign importers and their governments angry.
Therefore, the policy of devaluation is a double-edges sword.

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas!!
In many countries of the world, the celebration of Christmas on December 25th is a high point of the year. But why? Can it have any real meaning for us today? Is there a 'real' Christmas message?
From November onwards, it is impossible to forget that Christmas is coming. Coloured lights decorate many town centres and shops, along with shiny decorations, and artificial snow painted on shop windows.
I love this day!

ISSUE:About the biggest change in eating habits and food-related life styles
Today I ate dinner with my friends in a MacDonald fast food store in Hsing-Chu City.
The biggest change in eating habits and food-related lifestyles must be the arrival of fast food in Taiwan. This allows many people to eat conveniently away from home, or bring food home to eat without having to prepare it themselves. But it also makes family-style meals less likely. In fact, the fast food tasted good for many young people, including me.
However, the fast food is too much fat or energy. The fiber of fast food is too little. I think that the fast food—hamburgers, fried chicken, and potato chips—are not always very nutritious.

Diets are another popular habit. It is almost inevitable.

ISSUE:About Bicycle Road
Today I went to Taipei City. I saw several bicycle roads are constructing.
A new law limiting all but short-term automobile parking in Taipei’s downtown area has spawned a renaissance of the bicycle. Currently, a good bicycle is very expensive. Riding bicycle to work become a popular and modern activities.
However, I argue that riding bicycle in a big city has a lot of disadvantages. Firstly, there are many cars and motorcycles that will pose threat on the way. The bicycle roads are too few to riders. Secondly, the bicycle is easily stolen. Thirdly, bicycle can not accommodate goods or another passenger.
Therefore, I hope government can pay attention to solve the parking problems in Taipei’s downtown.
